Klinovec Ski Area is the largest ski resort in the Krušné Mountains with a transport capacity of 8 050 persons per hour. It is located only 120 km northwest of Prague and lies close to the border with Germany and Fichtelberg above the town of Oberwiesenthal. Traditionally, it offers excellent snow conditions throughout the season for 12 km of downhill runs of 35 hectares, 80% covered with technical snow.
Prior to the 2012-2013 season, the resort underwent a massive upgrading, and a lot of news is waiting for skiers and snowbirds. The ski area has prepared a new SUZUKI chairlift with a carpet that will replace the existing anchor on the Bridged ski slope for visitors this season. Snowboarders will be happy to enjoy new obstacles and jumps in the local snowpark. And if you want to cross the ski with something good on the tooth, you will have something to choose from. You can enjoy a completely new menu in Pod Pařezem restaurant, which has been modernized and expanded. You can have a sunbathing machine on the slope with a hot drink in your hand in the Apreski tent next to the CineStar Express cable car or the modern igloo that grew up at the top of the SUZUKI cable car.
And to whom it would be little, one day can ski to Klinovec and the next day move to the neighboring Fichtelberg. Thanks to the multi-day ski pass for the Skiregion Fichtelberg-Klinovec, you can ride up to 27 km of slopes of all difficulty and up to 7 lifts and 9 lifts. The interconnected highest peaks of the Ore Mountains are rightly among the top ski resorts throughout the Czech Republic. There are also 30 km of cross-country skiing tracks, which continue along the ring road at Bozi Dar and around Oberwiesenthal. Of course there are parking for 700 free cars.
In addition, from Prague, Cityskibus will be the first to go this year. This is not a classic skibus, you will also have fun on the way to Klinovec and back for just CZK 750 (transport + full-day ski pass). A lot of fun awaits you even in the snow if you come to Klinovec on Saturday 5.1. or 16.2 when it unfolds Fajn Radio on the slope with its guests.
